Let's Do The Time Warp Again

So ummm... I guess I should start off by saying I live on a Latin clock and yeah... ummm time it warps around me like I was the star of Rocky Horror Picture Show. But one thing I am always as true as sunshine to my word... sooner or later :)

Thus without further ado I give you a photo of me in Salina! (taken by a friend)Yes I finished a sweater (well mostly didn't put the cuffs on cause I couldn't be bothered and it looked ok without it) but don't mind the helmet head, I look horrible. Despite it not being the exact fit I expected (blocked more than anticipated as I was frightened it would be too tight, opposite issue now... should have stuck with my XS gut) I have worn it out, riding a Vespa no less :) I need to try and get me some details together on it so look for the post to be edited soon.

Salina
Salina!

Why haven't I posted... well cause things have gone like Gonzo on a rollercoaster and I am living like Animal. I don't even want to begin to get into everything (except to say that one of the positive ones looks like it will have me going to NYC and Seattle over the holidays) but suffice to say that I have been swinging as if I was Tarzan, only me not Jane. From feeling like my head was stuffed in a toilet and flushed to cautiously optimistic to just plain tired and wanting time to fly past me. I have run the gamut. Now where the fuck is my medal :)

So in that spirit I give you a photo of another old FO

My Favorite Manos So Called Scarf

And then pass on meme for fodder cause really I dont have much else I can put out there yet!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot Chocolate! A la Ancienne S’il te plait :)

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Santa didn’t show up to my house… we opened all presents on Christmas Eve.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Hmm... for now I’d say white but I could probably be convinced on some red ones.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Usually yes…

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Haven't put them up in years, but when I did normally the first week of December

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Abuela’s soup

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?
Definitely cooking in the kitchen with Abuela and making the Christmas present piles as the adults kept eating

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
Never really believed in Santa as there were never Christmas morning presents…

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Yup! All of em too

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
When I was little I put up the whole tree and did it all, now I haven’t had a tree beyond a little wire one that I have that I hung a few ornaments from

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE snow (for Christmas day and all).

12. Can you ice skate?
Funny enough I took Ice Skating lessons as a kid in Phoenix Arizona. I tell you eclectic life I have led!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
No not really…

14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Watching children enjoy it and being surrounded by friends and family (like I remember from childhood)

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Ooooh that is hard. So much of my holidays is tied to the Childhood memories…
If I had to choose today, I’d want Abuelas Arroz con Leche

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Santa photos!

17. What tops your tree?
You know I don't remember... oh god, that is horrible of me. But I think it was a feathered up angel

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
Both, but giving wins out a bit more…

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
Hmmmm dunno.

20. Candy canes?
Yes please (and those Brachs red raspberry candies too :)

Salina looks fab! Glad to see she's done, and looking swell, and being a grand gal-about-town. (LOVE the vespa shots!)

Also glad to see you're still alive. :)

You've inspired me to pull the two skeins of Manos out of my stash and crank out a SCS. I'm stealing your meme, too.

Taking a new sweater out on a Vespa?!?!? Pure genius!

Arroz con leche is my fav too. I love with raisins and pieces of cinnamon sticks in it. It is a rainy day here so I may just make a batch and maybe even order tamales.....it is the season.

Salina has been worth waiting for (I'm considering knitting her up in grey now...) ~x~

Hooray for Salina. And what a beautiful place for its debut photo. The meme - I just got tagged by someone else for this one. Your answers are great to read!

What a busy bit of traveling you'll have over the holidays! Have a fun safe trip. :)

Yah!! Good going on finishing Salina. I am an arms length from finishing her too, but in grey. Question on sleeves, did you add on the seed stitch cuff binding or start with it? I am at a point where I don't want the cuffs either and don't know where I want to go in terms of finishing off the cuffs. So I like your idea.
